Maxime Topolov commentedHi there. We'll we're just finishing the packaging of the V2 Integration. Which is more a new module than a V2 since we rewrote everything inside.
As soon as we release it, we plan porting D7. Which will even be easier to sync. with Magento, because of all the Entities / Field API stuff.
If you need a delay, let us a couple of months to finish D7 port, but if you have free time, we can offer you a ReadOnly access to our GIT repos, so you could start help us porting D7.

Is this project dead in the water?
gfxguru commentedJust wondering if anyone has actually tried to just communicate with magento through web services?

trueheehoo commented+1 Would love to see a D7 port. Any updates with the progress of this? Can I gain access to the 7.x dev branch via Git? Thanks!
vaccinemedia commentedI agree with trueheehoo. A version for Drupal 7 compatible with Magento 1.7 would be a match made in heaven :)

Anonymous (not verified) commentedAmazing how Joomla! has a MageBridge extension, which many of my clients use, but Drupal doesn't...
kingfisher64 commentedProbably because Drupal has http://drupal.org/project/ubercart and http://drupal.org/project/commerce as solutions which are designed for drupal. Perhaps it's a usage issue. Comparing to other solutions a magento plugin or module doesn't appear to be half as popular as the previously mentioned solutions - looking at downloads from previous versions.
gfxguru commentedI'm surprised that people don't realize what a truly awesome combination these two system together would make.. :(
I've been working on learning the ways in and out of both systems for years now and I'm going to figure out how to make these two communicate!
gfxguru commentedoh and Magento 1.7 adds REST profiles you can establish in the backend to allow connections externally... ;)
kingfisher64 commentedIf you're passionate at getting these two integrated, go for it. I've not settled on a e-commerce solution yet. Maybe you should take over the project gfxguru?

kingfisher64 commented@Liliplanet - commerce kickstart for Drupal is fantastic, might be worth checking out if your looking for a e-commerce solution.
liliplanet commentedThank you kingfisher64! but I need a marketplace and there are several options in Magento to make that happen. How I wish we had it in Drupal :)
kingfisher64 commentedHi Liliplanet,
Just in case your not aware there is https://drupal.org/project/commerce_marketplace and https://marketplace.commerceguys.com/.
I should point out I'm nothing to do with commerce guys whatsoever. I was hoping for a magento port myself (I'd still try it out if it happened).
liliplanet commentedYes thank you kingfisher64, yes absolutely aware on both modules, but it's been so long in development and I know how hard and time spent farhadhf has trying to move this forward, but first of all it's being developed for with Mangopay that is Europe only, and I need (being in South Africa) solution now. Would have absolutely loved if we could combine the Magento cart with Drupal, full fledged cms with a ecommerce cart.
valcker commentedHi Liliplanet,
Unforunately, as kingfisher64 already wrote, our module is not supported any more and there are plans for d7 or d8 versions at the moment. It takes lots of time and efforts to provide a working and useful integration between Drupal and Magento, I doubt that someone will work on it without a serious sponsorship :( Especially now, when we already have a solid e-commerce solution (drupal commerce) for d7 (it wasn't the case for d6).
