Hi! I'm playing around with acidfree for 5.0 and I think it's great!! I read on another topic that you think it's really not ready for use, and I was wondering if you have any idea on how much longer it will take to have a first beta for 5.0??
From what I can see there are still some theming issues to resolve in the mass edit page for albums, and there are a couple of taxonomy links that do not lead to the right place but other than that, it seems to work fine!
So are we talking days, weeks or months??
Thanks
Patchak

vhmauery commentedBasically, I need to have some reassurance that it is all working. I have seen it do some pretty nasty stuff in my development and I am not sure if it is ready for the general public yet. But please test it and file bugs.

Thanks for the answer...

casperl commentedDevelopment snapshot?
What about a development snapshot of Acidfree 5.0? It will make it easier for many people to test and view.
Yes I know: CVS - but CVS is a pain for anyone that does not actually develop and therefore use CVS every day!

vhmauery commentedFor those that don't want to use CVS, you can always use the CVS snapshots -- they are automatically generated within 9 hours (or something like that) from the last commit. So you aren't too far behind.
I don't really have a lot of time to be developing on Acidfree right now. You know, full time job, family, volunteer service, yadda yadda. I try to work on it some at nights and weekends, but sometimes I just can't find the mental energy to get into it.
Please feel free to try out the CVS snapshots and file bugs though -- and if you can, try to supply a patch. That would help me out the most and get Acidfree closer to a real release than anything else.

nancydruIn order for us to use the Update status module, there needs to be an "official release" of this module (no "-dev"). When might that be available?
vhmauery commentedPlease read above comments.

WebWeasel commentedI am interested in using this module on a D5 site so I'm adding a comment to track this issue.
