We should really add a site using Demonstration module to allow people to log in and see what workbench is all about. One test login for each user type as well.

Talked with some of the other Workbench maintainers and the plan is to build a Workbench install profile with a typical Drupal workflow scenario and set config, users, content, etc. Once that's built I can throw the install profile up on a part of my shared hosting with the demo module in.

I saw the diagram of the museum org chart that was used as the example use case for an editorial workflow. Add it if you can, it makes it so much clearer what Workbench tries to solve for you.

I'm thinking a helpful demo site for the Workbench suite would have the following sections and features:

  • Workbench
    • My Workbench section
      • My Edits
      • All Recent Content
  • Workbench Moderation
    • Add new drafts
      • As user with create draft permissions
    • Moderate drafts
      • As user with moderate draft permissions
  • Workbench Access
    • Not sure we can demo this one safely

Is this still something people are still interested in or is the current documentation enough? I can try to make a demo site, but I don't know where I'd host it.
