I am wanderiing what the usage of synonyms is. When I define a taxomonmy term, I type ABC in the Term Name box and XYZ in the Synonyms box. When a story categorized under ABC is written, both of the search function of drupal and google can find the story using keyword ABC. However, both failed to find anything using keyword XYZ.

Why? Are synonyms supposed to work this way?

I've tried to document myself on this topic also, but it seems that synonyms are not used by many modules. Looks like you can use them with glossary.module.

I am interested also to learn more about the use of synonyms. So if there is any expert around, I'll be interested to learn more (and I assume other people are interested as well).

Try adding the Synonyms Module
