Is there a way to add additional fields but only for certain catagories?

I would like to have a catagory where people can apply for something, and I would like to ask the user for additional information, but I also would just a general form with the generic fields. Is this possible with this module as I am yet to install and need to be able to do this before I go ahead.

his feature is under development and supports only when you use a module for multiple contact form for each category.

subscribing - this would be a really useful feature as I would like to use fields on a type of contact form other than the main contact form.

Hello,
This requires many consideration like when you select certain category, either an AHAH or page load shows/hides respective elements. I have been working lately to provide very smooth transition when selection a category. Please bear with me, I have lots of enhancements to do with this module.

Yes, this would be the very reason to use this module. I would like to use the contact form to receive simple support requests. In that category I would like to have a field to encourage people to include an URL to provide context to the support issue. Of course this field would not make sense in other categories.

Opposite needs to above, I need to lessen the fields to one left only, and make this contact form available on all PRODUCTS pages.

Can it do this now?

You can also use the contact form as block module. Which offers one contact form block per category.

This will make duplicate of the contact form blocks module. It already offers per category block.
To add field for specific category, it will like re-inventing the wheel. This is a core contact module.
If one really needs such features, web form is the best way.

I am closing this feature request, as Drupal 6 is no longer supported. Please re-open it if you would like the feature implemented in the Drupal 7 or 8 version of the module.
