Come together with the global Drupal community in Rotterdam, 28 Sept – 1 Oct 2026. Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.
I'm working (slowly) on a rewrite of uc_addresses. The module will first be rewritten for D6/UC2 and then converted for D7/UC3.
I've been thinking about writing an architecture document (once I have worked out the architecture) and breaking the work down into small pieces that can be parceled out. Are you a Drupal developer? Would you be interested in participating? Let me know and I'll notify you when I'm ready.
hi frexias!,
mmmhh, I develop in php, javascript, jquery, etc (mainly advanced webgis 2.0 web applications, based on Google Maps Api, Openlayers, and so on ...)
butt no, I cannot yet say that I am Drupal developer.
I recently discovered Drupal and I am heavily going through it since three months as I am building an advanced ecommerce application for an italian publising company.
After trying out Drupal Commerce (DC) I realized that Ubercart is still the best and more safety choice.
But started and want to go on with Drupal 7 and its release of Ubercart.
What your module does is great, as I would like users that become clients to register giving an address to their account, and use it in the checkout process.
Would be great to integrate also the location module with your addresses one, to make both interacting with Ubercart addresses (or as a reverse Ubercart interact with them) .
That's way I came to you ...
Actually I haven't any solid knowledge of Drupal Module development yet, but just very initial concepts (hooks, etc.).
When I will consolidate my ecommerce application main set up (content types, products, ... ) I will go back to this phase in which i was assessing possible relationships and interaction between products themselves and other entities, like users, clients, pubblication authors ... (1 or 2 months I guess).
That time, if any already developed module for Drupal 7 (or ported to it) will be available and reasonably usable, I will try to go through drupal module development ... and deeper inspect to your nice one functionalities and structure might be one of the most appropriate tasks for me.
I hope you will find the time and the mood to port it to Drupal 7, in the meanwhile ... but I can understand you at all.
Take your time and enjoy all you other moods, but those regarding Drupal !
:-)
Thanks again for your support to Drupal community!

freixas commentedForeseen? Yes. Soon? No.
As long as it's volunteer work, I work on it when I have time and feel like it.

roseiro commentedI'm not sure what I'll say but I think it is more or less this address with a module in D7, if you're not sure why it applies address with uc-7.
