http://drupal.org/contribute links to http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation . This page links to the handbook section, but it also provides some information that conflicts/duplicates information from that section.

The page under contribute should be reworked or replaced with a link to the handbook section. Any ideas?

http://drupal.org/contribute is the top page under the contribute tab

http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation is another page regular doc team members don't have edit access to.

The "Contributing to the handbook" link on this second page goes to "Docs overview" which is what I re-named 23742 after moving the two paragraphs on getting started to 24572, "Contributing to documentation."

Propose: Change the link on http://drupal.org/contribute under the "Documentation" heading to link to 24572, and nix http://drupal.org/contribute/documentation

I can work in some of the suggestions for 'finding things to do' under the doc guidance.

Although this issue, 110955, is older, I'm marking it as duplicate since 115088 is already moved over to Drupal.org webmasters, and has a comprehensive update outline.

This issue status should be updated to "fixed" by pnm, sepeck, or someone else who concurs.
