I've created several search plugins for FireFox / IE7 (or any browser that supports OpenSearch plugins). Using these plugins, you can quickly locate a topic on api.drupal.org or drupal.org by typing the topic in the browser's search box.

I've tested them on FireFox 2.0.x and IE7 on Windows. Constructive feedback is welcome.
Use "autodiscovery" to install the plugins - while visiting my page, just drop down the search box menu, and you should see three new search plugins available for installation.

Great
Thanks for this. It is very helpful. However, I like to use Google as a complementary search engine (using http://www.google.com/coop) because sometimes the Drupal search results aren't ideal. I set up a Google custom search engine for it on http://glottalstart.com/goopal (instructions on http://drupal.org/node/91773). It's good to have both options easily accessible.

Module OpenSearch plugin?
Nice! Why not create a module so every Drupal site can present visitors with a search plugin automatically?
Groovy
Now that's a cool idea. I'll put it on my list of things to do....

OpenSearch Plugin Module
A little while ago, I put together the OpenSearch Plugin module which adds a search tool for your site.
