Anonymous (not verified) commentedThis is a big problem, thank you for reporting it. This could seriously break stuff. I think we really need to consider moving to the rdfx project space as people advocated at DrupalCon.

scor commentedCore bug: #1087266: Update module cannot handle projects having the same name as a core module. Yes, it's annoying. The workaround for now is to ask people to download it manually or use drush, like the warning says on the RDF project page.
I've tried to think of a good namespace name to move too, but http://drupal.org/project/rdf is hard to beat. Maybe someone will have a good idea. rdf2, rdfx, rdfapi, rdfr, rdfize. We've tried to bring the best RDF modules into one package so there one goto package to download (RDF UI, evoc, RDFx). We should discuss it on gdo. I'll try to create a discussion tonight before my vacation if I have enough time...
