Hi,
I would like to know if the meta data say description can be also used to populate another field which will be displayed to the user in custom content type.
Cheers,
Vishal

valthebaldBest way to achieve this is to use tokens, which are not supported yet.
Solution would be opposite: use other fields tokens in meta tags value, like [node:field-body].
Once again, this is currently not supported

Dave ReidJust an FYI, this is creeping closer and closer to duplicating the work I'm putting into Metatags, just the only difference is data storage and UI...

valthebaldWell, the whole this project (metatags_quick) is a duplicate effort, and I understand it very clear.
Unfortunately, I don't see many options until there's functioning metatags code (I know and appreciate the reasons).
Probably the fair thing to do would be explain on (both metatags and metatags_quick) project pages what is the difference between them and future plans. What do you think?

valthebaldRead #691078: Field tokens first. There is working patch, yet it is not committed to the token module. I've warned you :)

valthebaldI have changed the module page http://drupal.org/project/metatags_quick to emphasize relation and differences between 2 projects. You are welcome to review
