When using SimplePie 1.2, I get a lot of Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated error messages. The root of these message is SimplePie and its PHP4 support, see https://github.com/rmccue/SimplePie/issues/95.
But Drupal 7 requires PHP 5.3 so unless we wait for SimplePie 1.3, there is currently no way to use Feeds+SimplePie in Drupal 7.

Niklas Fiekas commentedThese warnings prevent (easy) automated testing of Media Feeds #1181298: Add support for FeedEnclosure.
The patch applies and solves the problem. It also has a clean coding style and doesn't introduce any new warnings in Coder.
The attached patch is the same with a space added:
