rdentry commentedI'm also looking for this if at all possible. I would love to be able to have a horizontal tab that shows the comments within the tab group with the rest of the field groups. Any progress on this?

Stalski commentedAt first I did not know what you meant. For an article you have article manage display and you have the comment display as well.
1) If you mean in comment display: I could not reproduce it, the comment field is nested after saving inside a normal fieldset
2) If you mean in the article display itself, then you should use Display Suite together with fieldgroup. In the screenshots attached you can see how I managed to get the comments in a separate horizontal tab where the "read this" tab will have the image, title, post date, body, ...
The screenshot is created for display full mode with the one-column layout in display suite.

Cablestein commentedI would still like to see a possibility of doing this without using DS.
When I go to "Manage Display", my feeling is that everything displayed on a node page should be orderable and groupable here. Ideally Comments shouldn't be treated separately.

elioshHi,
can you help me to reproduce this settings?
rolando.alevelbeyond commentedwhy not just use the talk module..? It separates the comments from the content of the node!

pianomansam commentedThe issue here is not with Field group, but rather with the comment module not exposing any configuration on the Manage Display tab. I have a sandbox module (also zipped and attached to this comment) that does this for any node type with an "Open" default comment mode.

pianomansam commented@Damn-Deal-Done there is a contrib module that has been able to do this for nearly 6 years: https://www.drupal.org/project/manage_comments_position
