After I've fiddled around with modules such as Profiles2 and Profile UX and, eventually, disabling and deleting them, I've been unable to get the gamertags, usually shown in the user profile, back.

That's unsurprising, I haven't upgraded this module to the actual release of D7.x only to a way earlier alpha release. You did notice that it said, -dev at the end right? ;o)

Ha, yeah no worries! ;o) I actually installed it myself and was surprised to see that it mostly works! :oP Result!

That said, I'm restructuring the D6.x version at the moment (when I get the time) so I'm going to have to re-port it again anyways :o(

Not sure if this is an issue.. but how can I show gamertags in contrib modules, like APK (advanced profile kit) or profile 2 or profile ux.. not sure if there are any other profile modules

I can move this back into active again as I'll be able to resume working on it fairly soon (finding time for unpaid projects is a bit tough at the moment!)

There will be a Views and Panels/ ctools plugin for embedding into other modules, same as with the D6 version.

The D6 already had the embed plugin or not yet? Well it's to say I will use drupal 7 once I figure out how to solve some database errors

Well last time they didn't show in Advanced profile so I'll check if I can get them to work

This was addressed in the 7.x-1.x branch but I didn't close it as I was still working on it.

However... I'm abandoning that branch, it's now totally addressed in the new 7.x-2.x branch - I just need to make an update hook to move between them.
