Is there any way of resizing the original photos that are being uploaded? I know you can do this with image fields, but there doesn't seem to be a way of doing this with image galleries.
It would be convinient if large photos which are uploaded could be resized to a maximum.

This is probably a Media issue and not a gallery issue, as Media is used to upload pictures. Please redirect the issue to the Media issue queue if it is still a wanted feature.
