It shows the user copying the contents of sites\default from the 4.7 install to the 5.0 install. That means they'll miss picking up a change that has been made to settings.php in the new version. I don't think it will harm anything, but would it be safer to ask them to make their edits to the new version, rather than overwriting it?

Thanks to the author of the video for putting it together. I just followed it to do my own upgrade, and it was very helpful.
