Hi, while reviewing this page about drupal versions,I think it'd be helpful to have a timeline or link to list release time of older versions. Or is it already somewhere in the handbook?

pwolanin commentedI don't see it anywhere, but it might be better to put it under the history section, with a link from the page you reference (which is already chock full of info):

betz commentedChanged the component to reflect the new component categorization. See http://drupal.org/node/301443

ronaldmulero commentedAdded link to CHANGELOG.txt of most current Drupal release in second-to-last paragraph of http://drupal.org/node/769

dami commentedIt turned out it's not that simple as I thought, drawing timeline in excel, and I am not a chart wizard...
After lots of trial and errors, this is the best I can do. (png file attached)

dami commentedA second thought, a chart looks nice, but will need to be updated manually.
Linking to CHANGELOG.txt (already doen in #3) may be better.

betz commentedwell done

gpk commentedGreat timeline. Also included link to #4 above on the History page.
How about attaching the spreadsheet to this issue so that someone else can update it as and when if they feel motivated.
dami commentedSure, the spreadsheet is based on a timeline template at : http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelArticles/create-a-timeline.html
I changed the way how error bars and data points are formatted. There are quite a few improvements I'd like to make but couldn't figure out how. For example, data labels need manual edits, I couldn't figure out how to make it automatic. Hope somebody with ninja excel skills will make the spreadsheet better.

chx commentedWhy was this closed down? It certainly could be made better as dami noted.
leehunter commentedEverything in documentation can be made better. It's only needs to be an issue if there's something specific that needs to be done.

figaro commented@dami: your image is fine as it is, suggest you contact the documentation team to create a page for you to upload this image and trust that people will update this over time.

arianek commentedbunk comment, did not read properly
Comment #15
arianek commentedcan someone update this image or suggest an easier way to keep this maintained? (that seems pretty labour intensive) - we could put it near to the release cycle page http://drupal.org/node/935558

hshana commentedHere's an updated version.
leehunter commentedMarking as closed, won't fix.
Historical information is not documentation. It should probably go in Wikipedia if people want to maintain this record.
