It would be interesting to create a photo stream that pulls thumbnails of with tags related the subject of your story. Any ideas?

Sounds interesting, but whose photos would it pull? The node author's? Any user with a flickr account on the drupal site's? Any one on flickr's?

Preferably any photos on flickr, in a similar way that yotophoto does (www.yotophoto.com), but my usage would not be for stock photos, more for illustration thumbnails for a subject

Gets my vote. I'd like to be able to call images tagged with keywords in my account to go with specific stories.

It's an interesting idea but i would imagine not many people would make use of this feature so for this reason I give this feature request -1 as i wouldn't want to work on implementing something for free that would not be used widely.
