Call to undefined function db_result() (WSOD)

This happens (with a WSOD of course) when a mail should be sent. As I see the module has D6 code in the mail_alter hook and not ported to DBTNG which should be done. This way the module renders the site unusable (because this hook is called on every mail sending) so this makes it critical. As I see there is more places in the code where D6 DB functions are used.

I saw that this module will be merged with reroute_email so if this is a won't fix please mark it so. I decided to install this module because this one has a recent commit and thought it more probably can be used until merge done.
