Currently, it is not possible to replace imap extension because their functions are spreaded all over the retrieve process in several files. I'll be moving all these functions to a single location, marking old functions as deprecated while I review the message retrieving batches.

Sorry, 6.x-1.x is no longer a supported release. Please try upgrading to 6.x-2.x and reopen if still an issue.
