Contributed modules | Browse by name : modules should be spread on more than one page [#116170]

It'd be great if there would be many pages, not just one. It takes for ever to load that page.

Maybe (if that's possible) there could some navigation providing links for :

modules with names starting with letter A to F
G to O
P to Z

While I get the page load issue, I also use that page as a way of finding modules that slip through the cracks of other systems I use to track new module development -- Frequently, I'll load the page, and search for specific strings relating to the functionality I'm after.

It's not precise, but I've found this very useful as a way to discover modules that I've somehow overlooked by using other means

Categorizing. I think this is a project.module feature request.

(FWIW, I do the same as bonobo. While splitting up the projects (or having a default view without descriptions) would be handy - the full page is itself also very handy.)
