Bullet points where the icons should be, and Sexybookmarks not showing up on the page they are assigned to.

Issue Summary

Hi,

I am having a few problems with the user interface in both the administration and main pages. In the admin menu, the Sexybookmarks page just shows bullet points where the icons should be. Also the Sexybookmarks don't show up in the content type I had assigned them to. Have I done something rong? Do I need to update something? I'm on Drupal 7.2.

Thanks again.

Have you got a connection to the internet? SexyBookmarks pulls down the required data from Shareaholic to be able to function, if you haven't got an internet connection and the data hasn't been cached then this is the expected behavior.

I know it's a strange question to ask if you have an internet connection, but your site may be sandboxed, or like me during the development, you might be on a train with a flaky connection.

Try flushing you sites cache when you have a good connection and seeing if that helps.

Hi Deciphered,

I do have an Internet Connection and it's a strong one too. Just flushed the sites cache and I still have the same problem. Not sure what it can be.

Thanks again.

Can you check your filesystem? SexyBookmarks downloads and saves data to a 'sexybookmarks' directory in your 'sites/default/files' directory (or whatever you have have set it to be). Are there any files there? Or any watchdog errors?

Anything you can think of regarding your site configuration in the file side of things that may be different?

Cheers,

I've checked the filesystem and the directory. When I look at the directory I've got folders by the name of "28e0ad8d3f812054f8c56915554c1305", "aac8a584c753dac71865e338e6e3fe1e" and "aac8a584c753dac71865e338e6e3fe1e" all containing the filenames (in each): sprite.css and sprite.png. Then another file called jquery.shareaholic-publishers-sb.min.js. These are in the folder sexybookmarks in sites/default/files. Not sure if that helps? Apart from that everything has been set up as normal.

Thanks,
dinkydodouk

Any ideas?

I'm sure I responded to this, must have had a bad connection (common on my train trip).

The file system is perfectly normal.
Can you check the page that isn't working properly and see if the CSS or JS files are being included?

It's possible that a theme or module could be modifying the CSS/JS being printed, what theme are you using? Are you using any modules that may be modifying CSS/JS (aggregators)?

If you have the ability to try the module on a fresh install of Drupal, or to clone your existing site and turn off modules/themes to determine the cause I would be grateful and may be able to figure out a solution.

Cheers,
Deciphered.
