Hi all,

I have installed Drupal 6.22 with acidfree which looks good, but when I create a new album and assign photos to it, I can't change view style to grid, although the option "Album thumbnail:" is choosed to the "Grid". Another problem is, that I can't assign thumbnail to an album. Although my album contains 10photos, it is still labeled as empty, but when I click on it, I can see list of my photos, but again, not in grid view.

Thanks for your help and be patient with my English

Okay, first this cannot be a bug report because grid view does work, as shown on numerous sites, including Acidfree Albums.

Next, you can't choose the album thumbnail to be "grid" - it can only be set to "random" or else to a particular picture.

So, for the grid view issue:

1. What is your default album view? ("grid" or "list")?
2. What do you see, exactly, when you select grid view?

For the thumbnail issue:

1. Are the thumbnails being generated correctly? If you look in the directory you set for your images module, are the preview and thumbnail files there?
2. Are there errors in your drupal log file?
3. Does your acidfree installation say that it passes the basic sanity test? (acidfree/test)

Thanks a lot for your time!

Sorry, my fault, course I do not need to set thumbnail to a grid, but to the fixed image and that is what I can't. Only option on the list is "Random", not an "image".

So my answers are:
1. default album view is set to Grid View. In the default album (root album?) I can see other images in the "Album thumbnail" list (pic. default root album.jpg). In this root album I can see thumbnails, but when I open e.g. album Test 1, I can see only a list of pictures, although default view is set to Grid View.
2. List of albums.jpg

Thumbnail issue:
1. not sure, I'll check it
2. no, can't see any
3. Looks good - see picture

Okay - thanks for the attachments, it helps me see what's going on and verify that you really are seeing "list" view instead of "grid" view.

1. If you choose a specific photo in "test 1" instead of choosing "random", do you see the thumbnail?

2. Your English is very good by my understanding of foreign languages is non-existent, which means I don't understand what I'm seeing at the very bottom of your "album options" picture - it appears that you have something else that's altering the Acidfree Album Edit page that I don't think is part of Acidfree - can you help me understand what it is?

3. If you manually try to display grid view (by putting "/grid" at the end of the URL) what happens?

4. On your test page I see two two content types, and it says that albums do not permit mass import - but I see the "Mass Import" link on your sample images. Have you tried rebuilding permissions?

I can see two possible causes right now. The first is that there really is some kind of bug related to exactly how you've set up your permissions and your Acidfree settings. The other is that there's some kind of conflict between Acidfree and another module you have installed.

Hopefully we can get this sorted out quickly!

Only option on the list is "Random", not an "image".

I missed that, before.

That's very weird and explains a lot - it seems to mean that the Album is not finding its images correctly.

Stupid question: are the images in these albums Published?

And another stupid question: Do you have javascript enabled on your browser? Acidfree uses javascripts to populate that drop-down.

I'm even wondering if the accents in your native language are breaking the way Acidfree embeds the thumbnails in that drop-down.

If you could, please attach the actual HTML from the edit page for a broken album - that would let me determine if the problem is in the HTML being generated.

Thank you for your effort!

To your questinons:
2. I have switched to English language and attached screenshot once more.
3. It doesn't work for me. If I add to the end of url "/grid" (http://portal/drupal_new/acidfree-albums/acidfree-albums/test-1/grid) I get "Page not found".
4. I have done it - same problem
5. Published images? You mean whole album? Yes, it is published by default.

Okay - the part I didn't understand was the attachments section at the bottom - I don't know why you would have attachments enabled for albums, but I think its harmless.

You definitely want to send me the actual HTML source for the options page so I can see if it is correct.

I have missed your information about attachements :( Now I have discovered where I was wrong. I used attachement functionality for images :( Sorry for it
