The issues queue needs a version 5 update.

Attached is the advuser.info file for the DRUPAL-5 release.

The selected file advuser.info can not be attached to this post, because it is only possible to attach files with the following extensions: patch jpg jpeg gif png txt html doc xls pdf ppt pps odt ods odp.

Who do I complain to?

Create an issue in Drupal Infrastructure, 'CVS' component.

Here's the link - http://drupal.org/node/add/project-issue/107028/support

AFAIK I have no control over these things.. :(

Why do you need to create info file (easiest one) when the module itself is not ready. Inactivist mentioned he would release in one week, but it is already second week and no module yet. Not accusing at all, after all we users have to be just thankful to module maintainers. It is just I am making my own plans according to what maintainers say, and it is not very comfortable when for this kind of important modules it take forever to be updated to next version of Drupal.

It is the beginning. I'm working on the conversion and without .info you won't know what the module is in the list of modules on the admin form. If you're in a rush for free software modules to catch up to core then do the conversion or hire someone to put it at the top of their list. This conversion isn't one of the easy ones it will be a while before basic functionality is available but small patches will be submitted per request.

snegny,

Inactivist mentioned he would release in one week, but it is already second week and no module yet. Not accusing at all,

Um, I never said it will be one week, two weeks, or any other time frame to complete the Drupal 5 port. Paraphrasing, I've said it will take a few weeks for me to even get around to starting any work, and that it will have to wait until I have time to do the work, and that you should feel free to assist if they wanted it sooner. You acknowledged that you have no ability to contribute to this effort.

If you make plans based on my statements, then I suggest you go back and re-read them, and make plans for it to take however long it takes. You get what you pay for.

For the the rest of the audience, here's what's going on:

I've committed the .info file to the DRUPAL-5 branch (NOT HEAD) - note that there is no release for the DRUPAL-5 branch, so these works-in-progress won't be included in any distribution until the drupal 5 port is ready to be tested.

So, for those who are anxious to have this module working on their drupal 5 sites, feel free to pick up a shovel and start digging; otherwise, sit quietly and wait patiently for the work to be completed. Dropping remarks like snegny's in the issues list isn't going to get the work done any faster. Quite the opposite, in fact.

after all we users have to be just thankful to module maintainers. It is just I am making my own plans according to what maintainers say, and it is not very comfortable when for this kind of important modules it take forever to be updated to next version of Drupal.

You might want to brush up on your communication skills. I see nothing in your comment to indicate any degree of gratitude - just an unreasonable expectation that it would be done already.

inactivist, thank you for the detailed explanations. well, the fact that i am not native speaker probably precludes my communication skills. but you are "good" too to react like that. thanks man!
