Fixed by http://drupalcode.org/sandbox/niklas/1150302.git/commitdiff/5434f4bdd1c3..., a change in the permissions policy. Don't check permissions in the mapper, just document that permissions aren't checked.
Permission handling should go, if at all, into Feeds.
