From a quick skim of the code for this module, it looks like porting it to D7 wouldn't be too difficult, especially now that Ubercart has a beta D7 version available.

If I get a chance to make a 1st past at a ported module, may I attach to this issue for review? Or is a D7 port already underway?

I am using a mildly patched version of the hostpot module (i.e. the module w/o any dependency on proprietary Coova services) on a D6 site, along with the ubercoova module. That site will be upgraded to D7 soon. I will upgrade the hotspot module when doing this, and I can share it here.

However I would not be be able to upgrade the coova_radius module, since I do not subscribe to any of the paid Coova services. You need to inquire with wlanmac about that.
