Mr. Anietie Ekanem has been involved in social media, marketing, product management, and development for over 18 years. In his current position at SocialNIcheGuru.com, he is responsible for implementing social networks and marketing for business and non-profits.

Services include strategic planning across all marketing; social media and mobile marketing implementation; and sms, and mobile app development.

Social Niche Guru Inc. has implemented learning communities and social media strategy for Atlantic Foundation, $4b spend down foundation, through the Community Experience Partnership. University of California used Social Niche Guru Inc. to develop and deploy their online social media strategy.

Previously, as CEO at ActivelyOut.com, Anietie has won awards from the California State Assembly and the San Francisco Mayor’s office for www.ActivelyOut.com. He developed the ActivelyOut Web 2.0 social networking utility for a professional community. Seeing the need to connect online with the real world, ActivelyOut.com delivered differentiated branded events. While there, he implemented direct email, viral marketing, event marketing, social networking, and email newsletter campaigns and used metrics to determine the best approaches and messages for various customer segments.

He has also worked as Development Consultant at New Leaf Services where he was responsible for developing their communication channels, strengthening their foundation giving, and implementing a major donor program using social media. He earned Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Stanford University

Mr. Anietie Ekanem worked for Openwave, the leading provider of handheld software, and messaging products worldwide. He was a Senior Product Marketing Manager at Openwave Systems and directly responsible for Go to Market activities for Voice and Video voicemail services for the wireless and broadband space. Together with the Openwave team, Anietie launched Openwave Video Voicemail at DemoMobile and won numerous news and industry recognition.
Mr. Anietie Ekanem has also founded Wireless Africa Foundation to provide health, and educational services to countries in Africa using wireless technology. He extends his vision domestically by providing free wireless to West Oakland, CA. digital media, wireless applications, and social networking.

Before Wireless Africa, Anietie founded Allied Consulting Enterprise to help companies clearly profit from their product ideas. He and his company pioneered a fundamentally different approach to full lifecycle product development called Xperience consulting.

Anietie lead e-Commerce and e-Business solutions in the Media Commerce group at SGI before Allied Consulting. At SGI, he increased product sales, implemented revenue generating marketing programs, built a strong system integrator channel, and managed global, cross functional teams. He also led product management and marketing activities for the SGI Internet Server, SGI’s first Linux thin server.

Anietie has a Bachelor of Science form Stanford University in Computer Systems Engineering.
