It's not really a bug and in fact it is even not a simplenews problem but this feature request needs a solution.
I spent the last 2 days figuring out why the "Previous issues" page showed totally messed up and then I found it ...
The "Previous issues" page is something like a "teaser list" (you will see xx content blocks in a list). I now have 3 newsletter and they all have tables in the body to have a nice layout. Sending them is OK. But when I click on the "Previous issues" link I see a page with a nested tables mess up that is not usable. I figured out that this is because of the "teaser cut-off". It leaves the opening tags of my tables but cuts off the "close table tags" => result: 1 big table with all content in different cells instead of several tables.
I'm also using the "Views" module and there the problem is the same so I will post there too. But in "Views" you have the possibility to define the type of page you want to create: "Full", "Teaser list", "Table view", "List view", ... and there I can choose e.g. a "List view" and only show the fields I want like "Node: Title", "Node: Creation date", ... and if I don't use teasers there it's all OK.
I see a few alternatives:
- Create some accessible settings to select what and how to show
- Make your view available in the "Views" module and so create the possibility to use the settings in "Views"
- Just make the link editable so you can select (enter) the link to e.g. a view created in "Views" (maybe use this a temp workaround)
Maybe I overlooked the solution and there already exist a solution but I don't think so.
Hope this makes some sense.
Thanks in advance
Jan

sutharsan commentedIn 6.x release the send status is now available to views.
The 'previous issues' list is not a views list. I have had very few requests for this. Won't fix.
