Deleting an imagefield field

I posted this in the main CCK support, but perhaps here is better. I created two imagefields in story and I only want one, but neither of them are listed when I click on Manage fields. Is this is bug or am I doing something wrong? FYI: Any other fields that I create in CCK are removeable. Thanks for your help!
