In admin interface change value "select" to "select:visible". It's value in field "Apply Chosen to the following elements"

If select element was hidden, it we show they - plugin work incorrect. You can test it on select parent menu item in vertical tabs, when we created new node.

I just changed the setting on my site back to "select" instead of "select:visible". Works like a charm.

What was the initial problem?
#1857044: Allow Use of Chosen on Menu Selection talks about allowing use on the menu select, which just works if we roll this change back.
