It would be nice if we could use this as a widget on fields rather than globally.

In the dev release, you get a checkbox that says 'use chosen on this field'. But chosen still applies globally.

Sorry. This actually does seem to be working. You can remove any selectors you have in the config options and select the option I mentioned above in the field settings form, and it works.

I've looked everywhere for the check box in field settings. Have yet to see it? I'm trying to use it on a taxonomy reference field.
