Original Issue
Drupal 7 with fields is a great advantage above Drupal 6. Will there be a Drupal 7 Instance of this project please?
Thanks a lot in advance for your reply and considering this.
greetings, Martijn
Request for funding
Many people have stated their interest in porting this module to D7. For this to happen, we would like to see some funding for the work it takes. We are:
- the maintainer: kenorb, or
- fietserwin (maintainer of Availability Calendars and co-maintainer of Imagecache actions)
We are both freelancers who cannot afford to invest all the time needed for this port all on our own. What I (fietserwin) do offer is good and fast support (via the issue queue) after the port has been created and released. (See the statistics of the mentioned modules). And don't underestimate the time that module maintainers invest when they seriously answer and react to all issues posted in their issue queues. That is where our contribution lies.
We ask for a few people to show their interest in investing in the D7 port. When there is enough interest it should be not too expensive per person/project. I'm thinking of an amount of a few hundred euros per person/project that needs this port, even lower when all followers show their interest.
Please show your interest via this issue or via a personal mail to one of us.

fietserwinI have a client who wants a D7 version as well, but he is not able to pay for the whole port. I want do a bit of it in my own time, but that still won't add up to what's needed. So it would be nice if we could get additional funding. If you can find some funding in your project, I can start with the port. I'm thinking of 2 to 3 sponsors each investing a few hundred euro's. Sponsors will be listed on the project page including a link. Sponsoring with time is also welcome. Module design, UI design, testing, translating, and even co-programming is all welcome.
I am current (co-) maintainer of Availability Calendars, so I do have some experience with the functionalities this module is targeted at. As you can see over there, I do take support seriously, often responding within hours.
I already contacted the current module owner and he is willing to make me co-maintainer, so there will be no need to fork. Looking at my planning, I can start mid to end February and release around mid March. Please contact me personally or via this issue. I will update the status of this issue if there's anything to mention.
Let's get this job done together!

ursula commentedI am interested in the module as well, and can help by contributing time.
Do you envision essentially the same functionality as the D6 version?
I just installed the module on a new d6 site, to explore it a bit, and see how it currently works. Will post some remarks in a couple of days.
fietserwinIn principle yes: same functionality, but maybe using our own entity type instead of nodes.

keiichito commentedHi there,
Any news of D7 version?, I'm thinking to upgrade to D7, but without this module I cant.
philipz commented#fietserwin I see that you are not the co-maintainer yet so is this going to happen? :)
It would be great to integrate this module with Availability Calendars!

fietserwin#10:
- The maintainer did make me co-maintainer, but so far I haven't done anything with it. Finding funding for it seems too difficult, though from time to time I do get individual requests for it. I guess that just a few (moderate) contributions would suffice, but it never happens at the same time.
- The maintainer itself is also willing to port it. He can outsource it to good developers, he cooperates a lot with, in a country with exchange rates (compared to $, € and £) that can make it very affordable.
- I would rather want to integrate A.C. with Rooms instead of this module, as I see more similarities between those modules.
I updated the issue summary to more explicitly ask for (crowd) funding.

Patrick Nelson commentedHow much funding do you need to create a D7 version of this and, if the funding was available, how soon could the version be produced?
fietserwinI won't be able to start before mid January. Perhaps the module maintainer is able to start earlier.

kaizerking commentedis there any possibility to get this in near future?
kenorb commentedYes, soon, but it needs some clean up.
kaizerking commentedforgive me if i am early;but please have look at my requirement:
i have a process called recruitment, where job application has states like applied, shortlisted , interview scheduled, selected ,rejected so on...
in this process, I planning to use 'Booking Time Slots' in the interview stage where the employer would schedule an interview, i.e. employer will create time slots as options for the job seeker to select. the duration of the interviews will be in the time steps of either 15,30,45 minutes(available in date module advanced settings.
job seeker will select suitable option as acceptance, if no options are suitable he will propose new suitable time slots and then the employer will accept,or re-schedule.
just thinking aloud.

kaizerking commentedwould it be possible to use Simple hierarchical select module instead of hierarchical select? it is really simple and also has additional functions like recognizing the number of nodes etc .,
Comment #21
kaizerking commentedI am getting this error after installing Notice: Undefined index: module in EntityDefaultUIController->hook_menu() (line 113 of H:\wamp\www\drupal\sites\all\modules\contrib\entity\includes\entity.ui.inc).
kenorb commentedDependency to hierarchical_select probably would be removed.

pitxels commentedWhat about a paypal fundraising widget (or smg similar) on the description page?
