If a user is registered to multiple groups and those groups all have a node submitted then the user will receive duplicate emails. It would be nice if the system could check and keep the email from firing off each time.
In some cases, using a users email instead of the standard website email is preferable. It would be great if this was an option. Whether or not that is possible, I would like to have separate email for the groups, then the standard email used on the site settings.

ChrisBryant commented+1 for preventing the duplicate emails!

moshe weitzman commentedi would accept a patch for this ... there are other more serious problems with this query though. we are not sending email to users who don't explicitly ask for it in the group. that issue is being discussed elsewhere.

mlncn commentedPossibly off-topic. Does this
mean that in some cases e-mails are being sent to an address not in the group?
Our issue is that the site administrator e-mail address (the reply-to address) is being CCd on every message sent through the Organic Groups system. Is this a known feature/bug, or are we unique? ;-)

vaish commentedI checked current official release (5.x-5.0) of module and found out that issue with sending emails more then once is fixed. I did few tests and can confirm that it's working.
Each user gets only one notification. Newest one of all the groups node is submitted to is the one user gets the notification for.
