Ability to edit individual gallery thumbnails

Is there a way to edit individual gallery thumbnails? I'm attempting to use the Image javascript crop module to alter some of the gallery thumbnails, because some of the vertical images need to be cropped differently. I'm fine with the size of the thumbnail - I just need the ability to custom crop. I'm not finding a way to go in and edit each individual gallery thumbnail, though - is this possible? Thanks.
