Hi, it would be great to include touch based control over the slider widget. Touch and drag to slide back and forth.

I haven't tested this but maybe we could add a library like the following: https://github.com/furf/jquery-ui-touch-punch

There could be an option to enable touch support in which case the touch library is added. I'll see if I can whip up a patch at some point. The library is fairly small at 1.25k minimized.

+1 for this request. Currently the slider doesn't work on tablets unless you touch the section of the slider bar you want it to go to.

With the ever gaining popularity of touch screens, I think this is a must for a next release.
