The Date Module and the Repeat date is fantastic, however we are having a problem with the repeated dates always defaulting to 12am. The first occurrence of the date has the correct time.

After a long bit of testing, it turns out that the problem seems to related to the use of “Weeks” as the period. That is, if one sets the event to occur every week, one gets the incorrect recurance times of 12:00am. However, with no other modifications other than using an interval of every 7 "Days", the recurring days are presented correctly.

See the attached file for two examples, taken minutes apart: The every Week option yields the erroneous 12am, while the every 7 Days option yields the correct times.

Tested with other week intervals like every 2 weeks and still got the problem, but every 14 days worked perfectly.

Same problem with version 6.x-2.7.

confirmed, having exact same issue described above. using 'every 7 days' does not have the problem.

this actually occurs with periods other than one week, for example 'every month on the second tuesday' would also trigger this issue. in fact, monthly repeats are even more problematic, because they cannot be easily fixed via ronsnow's solution, since the length of a month is variable.

It happens in 6.x-2.7 too. I can't imagine this issue isn't detected before. It makes the date/calendar module useless if repeated dates&times are needed. Is there a way around this? Any chance of a solution?

Thanx, Cas

I cannot replicate this in the latest dev version of the code. Alpha3 is pretty outdated now.

I have replicated this on a fresh install of Drupal 6, using Date 6.x-2.x-dev. I don't know if it should be in a separate issue because it's D6, but here's what I've done:

1) Fresh install of D6
2) Enabled Date, Date API, Date Repeat API, Date Timezone and CCK
3) Added a date field to the page content type, choosing text field with repeat options, keeping all default options
4) Created a page node with the following info for the date:

Date: 11/01/2011 - 08:00
Repeat: Every Months
Until: 05/01/2012
Advanced - Month: -- Any
Advanced - Day of the Month: --Any
Advanced Day of Week: -- First Monday

5) Hit Save.

The date is displayed like this:

Date:
Repeats every month on the first Monday until Tue May 01 2012 .
Tue, 11/01/2011 - 08:00
Mon, 11/07/2011 (All day)
Mon, 12/05/2011 (All day)
Mon, 01/02/2012 (All day)
Mon, 02/06/2012 (All day)
Mon, 03/05/2012 (All day)
Mon, 04/02/2012 (All day)

I then went and added in a default time zone and repeated the above steps, with the same result. If I edit one of these pages and remove the Advanced setting, the times display properly.

This makes repeating dates pretty unusable for my client, so I'd love to know if you can repeat it and when it might be fixed.

Thank you very much.

Date / Time problem still exists as of Nov 18 2011.....
Trying to set up repeating dates, I'm using drupal 7.9
Date module just updated Version 7.x-2.0-alpha4 or dev
Have a content type with popup calendar with repeat options.

It sets the months and days correctly and the correct time for the first date but defaults to 00:00 to 1:30 am for all other repeats.

I would like to suggest deleting the Frequency and incorporating this into the Advanced settings.

@somanyfish, this is a D7 issue, the D6 code and the D7 code are totally different. Please don't report problems in D6 on D7 issues.

@Roger_M, if you are using alpha4 you are still not using the latest code. The latest code is the dev version. I cannot replicate this problem in the dev version. If you can, I need the kind of detail provided by somanyfish, but for a D7 setup using the very latest dev version of Date.

I've reported it as a separate issue here.
