Am I missing something here, I really like the Web Links module and it seems to be doing everything I need, except the actual URL isn't linked in the Node view...

Hey Chris, the URLs look fine on your links page. I didn't seem to have access to the specific node you mentioned, so I couldn't check it out. There is a setting for determining whether the links in blocks and on the links page target the actual URL or the node with the URL. On my site, the URL works--it should be in the node body. Does that make sense? Cheers.
