Copied module to sites/all/modules but it does not show up in installed modules. Notice that it does not have a .info file.

I can confirm this, there is however two install.txt files one with a ~

For now, one can take the .info file from the 1.5 version and change the version # in that .info to reflect 1.6

Here's the file with the fix. Just place it in the modules/weblinks directory and remove the .txt extention so the name is simply "weblinks.info".

Somehow the weblinks.info file got deleted. You can either copy and paste the old one, or download 5.x.1.7. Apologies!
