It is really very easy to insert picture into content.
Use the image tag as we use in html, and modify the input formatting options available below the body of the content.
Its easy.

Hye,
I just using Drupal 7.12. I need to insert image inside my content, when I am creating pages or articles for my site. I tried your solution. I first download the latest recommended release of img_assist module. But It says the version is not compatible with Drupal. So then I tried latest development version of that. But still saying not compatible with Drupal. Can you help me in this regard as soon as possible for choosing version of img_assist module, which will be compatible with Drupal 7.12.
