DeadSuperHero commentedWould love to hear about the progress on this. We're moving a podcast site over from Wordpress to Drupal 7, and iTunes compatibility is a must for us.

paulgemini commentedJust to be clear, I'm not working on this. just ran it through coder to give someone a head start. My knowledge of porting to d7 sadly ends at that point.
henrikakselsen commentedI'll try to look at it, if time permits
Comment #8
drewish commentedHey I don't currently have a need for this in D7 so I'm not able to spend any time on it but I'd be happy to take on a new maintainer if someone wants to own the D7 side.
paulgemini commentedAm I to understand that the drupal 7 version would be analogous to one of the media third party add ons - like Media - Youtube? Or is this a plugin for fetching itunes RSS feeds?
I ask because it would be really cool to be able to easily plug things like podcasts into the Mediafront module. But I may be misunderstanding what this module does in D6 and would do (theoretically) in D7.
henrikakselsen commented@drewish Great, if I can make it work for myself here first I'll contact you.
@paulgemini No this module is not for fetching iTunes feeds, it's for creating one. Basically it lets you create a custom xml feed that contains all the info that iTunes specifies.

laVera commentedHey guys: I have been asking quotes here and get results around 500 dollars. Now I'm working on a local small NGO, so, no money on client side...but I can organize a ChipIn, and put the logistic needed to make it available to drupal community (i had talk with drewish too). Any chance we can raise that amount of money here?
davidseth commentedThere is some good work at: http://drupal.org/node/1124742
I have just got done testing it with Drupal 7 and it is producing a nice clean itunes feed.
timofey commentedThanks David, I was just going to post the same!
A few people have also reported achieving itune feeds with a RSS field formatters module... but who needs that when FileField Podcaster is working!! :)

Unfortunately I do not have any knowledge about porting or even coding Drupal modules. Otherwise I would help...!!

direcs commentedNo updates since 2 years.
Moved to Wordpress and the excellent Podlove Podcast Publisher module.
Never regretted this move one second!
tripper54 commentedHi @direcs,
It's great you found a solution that works for you, so did I via views and some custom templating.
Although this module seems like it's abandoned, it's really up to the module maintainers to mark this as 'won't fix'.
