Does anyone have any suggestions for a better image gallery than the image gallery module? I'm finding image gallery to just be clunky and not easy to work with. All I want is something to show a list of thumbnails that you can click to see a larger version of, with appropriate pagers in both the thumbnail and larger views, or even just popups of the full images, whatever. I'd actually prefer if there were a single row or maybe two rows of thumbnails on the same page under the larger image you are viewing.
I know there are hacks for adding pagers and all sorts of things to the image gallery module but I haven't gotten any of them to work and I'm ending up with 4 different image sizes that people can choose between where clicking on the thumbnail brings you to the preview where you then have to click on a text link to see the full size image. Adding to that, there is a link to see the original size image which blows my page apart. I just want 2 sizes
I was just wondering if there is an easier solution.

Thank you for the replies
Thank you for the replies but what does "5.x version in Head" mean? When I go to the download page for the module, it only lists up to 4.7 and when I install that in my 5.1 site, it doesn't even show up in the modules admin page.
Yeah, I know, I've been complaining about that

Click View Other Releases.
However, if it is not branched it may be in an alpha or beta release state. So by default, it is not displayed on project pages. Creating releases is at the discretion of the module maintainer.
