Hi

I do not want to show the normal smileys select box at the top of the paeg, but in some way launch a popup window in which the smiley is selected.

Is this possible?

As more information, I want to add a button to the quicktags module to launch the window, but i doubt that is relevant here.

This has been added into DEV version. Please download and give some feedback if you need any changes, before a there's a new release set out. Any changes regarding features would be considered in next release code. Marking to review for now, the code lies in DRUPAL-5 branch, or just download 5.x dev version.

Gurpartap Singh, I have installed dev and successfully tried pop-up for smileys. I confirm it works. Thank you.

hi, the button works fine, but...

I see all smileys in select box and at the end link to pop-up select box with all smileys.. so I see all smileys twice. where i may set number of visible smileys in normal select box..

anyway I want hide the standart select box and use a button in BUEditor to open the pop-up because some animated smileys in the select box are placed over others :( ..(see screenshot)

BUEditor allow create .js file with functions for the button. What part of code (what functions) and what function may call with the button?

I think it will be great to enable scripts for shortcuts button for the plain text editors (BUEditor, quicktags..).. can anybody help me with this improvement?

btw. could it be the pop-up box movable?

sorry 4 my bad english a thanks 4 help

but especially thanks for this module :D

I fixed the crisscrossed smileys by changes in the file smileys.css but I would prefer opening the smileys pop up window by an editor button.

Testing this out, and the popup works from the smiley box.

Is there any way to make the smileys popup in another editor?

Any script that needs to be called for this?

I to find this a good feature but how is this usable? How can you limit the smileys that appear in the smiley select box?

It seems pointless to have a "Show All" link when all smileys are already shown. Is there a way to integrate this with the Quicktags module?

i second the question on how to limit the number of smiles in the smiles box above commenting field.

Are there any further developments on this?

I've just finished my forum and this would make the posting page almost clutter free.

Yes, having a popup window module for TinyMCE would be perfect.

Would also love to see the code for BUEditor - I have the latest dev version and I can't see where the MCE/FCK code is to crib from.

Thanks,
Gareth
