Is i18n supposed to translate the labels for the input fields of a content type?
I have a fresh install of Drupal 5 and latest i18n. Before I activated the experimental parts, both the type names and input field labels of the forum topic and blog entry were translated, though not the the ones of page and story content types. After I activated i18n content type and string, all the translations of content type names and input field labels are gone. I went to Multilingual supports. From the string tab, I was able to edit the translations for the content type names and they got translated OK. However, I can't figure out how to translate or restore the translation of the input field labels, such as "Title", "Subject" and "Body". They are always in English no matter what language I switch to.
Is there a way I can also translate those input field labels?

walterhoct commentedIt seems no one else runs into this problem. I'd appreciate it if anyone can confirm that's the case...
