Release notes
Google Analytics Counter (GAC) used to rely on Google Analytics API (http://drupal.org/project/google_analytics_api) but the latter project was terminated.
As of branch 6.x-2.x GAC relies on the successor API bundled with Google Analytics Reports (http://drupal.org/project/google_analytics_reports). Enjoy!
