Hello
I installed Brilliant Gallery and then Lightbox V2 (dev), everything worked and I found it very very great, until I saw that the Lightbox V2 (dev) breaks all ajax requests!
So I guess Brilliant Gallery doesn't work at all on D7? :/

Agreed; BG should not depend on just one overlay system.

I am planning to support Colorbox very soon. Any other candidates you would recommend?

Of course, if somebody posts a working patch, I can apply it within a day!

Not sure if this is the right way to do, but there are only small changes, they could be done by hand.

Reuploading mike1996's excellent patch with the .patch extension, and hope the Drupal issue tracker will pick it up as such and test it. :-)

Issue summary: View changes

Thanks to the effort. Support for Colorbox is now committed to DEV, although I used my own code. Also removed support for Thickbox and Greybox -- those modules have no D7 support. Plus some code cleaning. Please test.
