Can someone find out and document the fields in the user table? There are many which seem to duplicate function or do not have any use that I can find in the core code. This make it very difficult to create new modules based on the users properties. Things like
mode
sort
threshold
init
data
are total mysteries. We have no idea which are usable fields in module creation.

sepeck commentedchange your comment settings to allow for the comment bar then look at several of the fields.
init is the initial identifier someone used to log onto your site with. Either their first email address or their drupal site id

chx commentedI would prefer comments in the schema.
I think Harry Slaughter was running an issue in which he wanted to comment on all the fields someone else pursues a schema module and commentin' would be a nice addition.

add1sun commentedHere is the link to Harry's issue: http://drupal.org/node/79874
and here is the handbook page, such as it is, it has some discussion and links: http://drupal.org/node/38977
I'd say further discussion should happen in Harry's thread so I'm going to mark this as dup.
