Drupal 7 version (and maintainership) of CreateFromWeb

Do we have any progress on a D7 version? If not then has anybody found another method of pulling content from IMDB or Wikipedia?

Sorry, I haven't looked into D7 etc.
Regarding IMDB I generally can recommend imdbpy.sourceforge.net, but of course a Python solution doesnt fit so well into Drupal.

i used imdb2node for a test here.
although it has full releases i would consider it alpha code.
but it's a good start.

shameless plug: my customer might pay part of createfromweb upgrade, but looks like it will only happen if we can chip in some bucks from others too.

fyi you can build a scrape with the xpath feeds parser. you can pretty much do anything.

I wish I could contribute more code-wise. What I can't contribute in code, I can make up with interest for D7 ISBNDB support.

One other thing, I'm sure if I understand this correctly but the .inc file is required to properly populate the CCK fields, correct? How hard would it be to capitalize on the Feeds module which has similar capabilities in mapping CSV columns to CCK fields (via GUI too!)?

Great idea about using http://drupal.org/project/feeds -- I guess the community could quickly get the ISBNdb API working with that, if it's not done yet?!
