I have an issue with the otherwise excellent Media Gallery module - I have two roles of users on my site, and I want to disallow some of them the access to see the galleries. Right now all authenticated users can see the galleries, and anonymous access is blocked.

I know I could (in theory) block the access to individual files in Media module, but this is doesn't help in displaying the thumbnail nor the list of galleries created on the site.

Since galleries are just content types, couldn't you use the content access module for this? That will restrict viewing of the gallery pages.
