I'm using version 6x-4.2 however the prior version had same behavior/results. Using simple quiz with questions set for "No randomization." When taking the test and hitting next without answering question then using back button, the UI is presenting new questions. i.e. question 1 no longer the same question presented to the user after you backup.
While taking quiz, steps:
1. Hitting "Next" button (w/out answering question)
2. Then use "Back" button
3. Previous questions are now different.

ruckerw commentedAppears that the issue is tied to question revisions. I believe it maybe using an older version of the question when you use the back button, after get error for not entering an answer.

tutumlum commentedI just had done a quiz with 74 questions, including Multiple choice, Matching, Long Answer, Short Answer, and True/False question types to 26 college students with "Backwards navigation" is allowed, "Skipping questions" is allowed, random order is set and no timer is set. Some students reported (I am sure that it does not happened for all students) that some questions are repeated twice and three times (in one case 4 times) while navigating back and forth. An aware reporter student told me that she could not find a question. I have marked the question and the user.
This is a strange situation. I will work around. I will share here if I find something. One of you guys, if you have an idea, please share.
