First I must admit I have been watching Drupal with interest for many years. I did not have a particular reason to jump into it until recently. What I want to build is something that Drupal seems to have components to do. Possibly one of the more complex electronic workflows I can think of.
It appears I can do most of this except follow production of ads and timed scheduling... I would appreciate any comments or suggestions on how to best approach this.
I think CRM would be very important. I have been told ERP might be a better fit. Please any suggestions is very appreciated.

CK-ERP not my cup of tea
Thanks for the tip on CK-ERP. CK was one of my first choices on a previous endeavor last year. The CK modules were incorporated into Joomla. Unfortunately many questions to CK group by me ended up going to CK consultants. Eventually the client got fed up with months of work and tens of thousands of man hours that produced a slow and not well documented site. We had to switch everything to a commercial endeavor at the client insistence.
Unfortunately the majority of the support on CK-ERP is from a contingency that is not very good with english. They seem quite active as a community, however I have found most are unable to provide any help with questions.
This time around small company nothing resembling deep pockets and not a lot of time to play custom...
They were originally using Filemaker Pro. Then switched to using Client and Profits, but can't afford the ever increasing price tag. Creative Pro has also become to expensive. This leaves us with something open source that is scaleable and not insane to maintain for a non technical user.
