Hello Rahul,
I have another request. :-)
Is there a way to have multiple calendar pages? For instance, I'd like to have a calendar for conferences and another for fundraisers . . . that sort of thing. I'd also like to be able to pull in events with different countries as a sort option; not necessarily multilingual (though at some point it would be nice) but pulling out the country field in the event location and having that be the sort criteria and displaying a calendar for a single country. In other words, a Canada events calendar, a U.K. events calendar, a Germany events calendar, and so on.

rahulbile commentedHi marcel,
Sorry for late reply, was a bit busy weekdays and travelling on weekends :) , but here are my thoughts.
We can add an param in url and can modify the query and output for countrywide accordingly. eg /event/calendar/IN or events/calendar/FR
Will try to add the feature in next release very soon
Cheers,
Rahul.

tim.plunkettJust use the FullCalendar module.

needle commentedI'm leaving this as a breadcrumb for anyone seeking to do the same as the OP. Having just gone through the process of installing the FullCalendar module, I discovered that it doesn't yet support CiviCRM events. So, until that issue is resolved, tim.plunkett's advice is not a solution.

rahulbile commentedPlans are to release this module as CiviCRM Extenstion, so closing. Thanks.
